Part Time Substitute Educator - Berrien Springs Public Schools

About the role

Substitute Educators at Right At School provide local school districts with before and after school extended day programs. The role focuses on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment to support the success of all students.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Lead by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
• Monitor the Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Qualifications

• Michigan State Requirements: Meet state-specific requirements, complete First Aid and CPR training, and pass a tuberculosis test.
• Education: Proof of High School diploma or GED.

Pay

$15.00-$18.00 per hour (based on education and experience)

Schedule

Monday-Friday 7:00am to 8:40am AND 3:40pm to 6:00pm
