Responsibilities
- Work closely with a supervisor or other engineering personnel to support product testing, design and review.
- Support the maintenance of documentation for each design in a neat and organized fashion for approval by the supervisor and other engineering personnel.
- Perform other engineering tasks as directed under the supervision of an engineering supervisor or mentor.
Requirements
- Both on-the-job and classroom training will be provided.
- This position is not available to students on immigration visas.
Qualifications
- Ideally, you will be pursuing a degree in electrical/computer engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer science; others may apply.
- Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university.
- Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior standing students are preferred; senior standing and those pursuing Advanced degrees may apply.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
- Available to work 10+ hours/week during the academic year.
- Available to work 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester.
- Must be able to commute to the work location in Fargo, North Dakota, on a daily basis year-round.
Skills
- Knowledge of a programming language.
- Understanding of basic hardware circuits.
- Understanding of test and design tools.
- Understanding of microprocessor/microcontrollers.
- Understanding of power electronics and motor testing.
- Understanding of LabVIEW programming language.
Pay
$15 - $40 hourly based on published rates for business function and education level.
Schedule
Year-round.
