Part-Time Student Assistant, College Work Study-State
The Student Assistant performs standard administrative duties for multiple individuals or customers. Activities are routine and may be repetitive. Essential job functions include operating office equipment, sorting and distributing mail, performing clerical tasks, maintaining and filing documents, assisting with information distribution, and supporting assigned areas during college representation functions.

Physical Abilities
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
Work Schedule And Conditions
Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment. Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position. Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- Currently enrolled as a Lone Star College student pursuing a course of study
Salary And Benefits
The hourly pay rate range is $11.32 to $14.55. Benefits include a supportive, collegial work environment, excellent work/life balance, and more. For Instructional positions, additional requirements include a resume/CV, cover letter, teaching philosophy, and unofficial transcripts.
