Part-Time Store Associate/Cashier/Stocker

About the role

ALDI is seeking enthusiastic part-time store associates, stockers, and cashiers to join our team. Each position plays a crucial role in maintaining smooth store operations and delivering an excellent customer shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise and stock product, provide friendly and efficient checkout service, and assist with general cleaning tasks.
• Cashier Responsibilities:
  • Utilize the POS system to accurately scan and process customer purchases.
  • Inform store management of scanning concerns or errors.
  • Follow cash policies and procedures.
  • Open additional check lanes as required.
  • Complete curbside pickup orders.
• Stocker Responsibilities:
  • Stock shelves and displays neatly while following merchandising planograms.
  • Able to work early mornings if needed.
• Store Associate Responsibilities: Includes both cashier and stocker duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubbers, cardboard balers, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
• Interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Pay attention to detail and organize tasks efficiently.
• Maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Ability to meet availability requirements.

Physical Demands

• Push, pull, sit, stand, reach, grasp, twist, bend, and move from one area to another.
• Lift, carry, and place product weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights, including overhead.
• Operate equipment such as a cash register, electric and manual hand jacks, floor scrubber and cardboard baler.
• Stock product in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments.
• Use glass and multipurpose cleaning products.

Starting Wage

$17.00 per hour. Wage increases after Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, and Year 5.
