Part-Time Stock Associate - Sam Edelman

About the role

Sam Edelman is seeking a Stock Associate to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the seamless shopping experience and maintain a visually appealing store environment.

Responsibilities

• Elevate the Store Experience: Assist in creating a welcoming atmosphere for all Sam Edelman clients, ensuring smooth transitions between the stock room and sales floor.
• Move Products with Purpose: Handle incoming shipments, organize inventory, and support the Store Manager in fulfilling product requests.
• Ace Accurate Inventory Counts: Follow protocols for accurate store fulfillments, cycle counts, and inventory preparation.
• Embody Respect and Professionalism: Foster a positive work environment where all associates feel valued and supported.
• Other Essential Functions: Complete additional projects and assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to build constructive relationships and communicate effectively with store associates
• Experience working independently with discretion and judgment
• Knowledge of general retail practices and procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting
• Flexible scheduling to meet business needs, including evenings, weekends, and extended hours

Preferred Qualifications & Education

• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store
• Demonstrated ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels
• Working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures
• Independent judgment and discretion in partnership with Store Sales Manager and/or Assistant Managers
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours
• Physical requirements: Regular lifting up to 40 lbs., frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting

Physical Requirements and Environment

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques
• Regularly walk, stand, stoop, kneel, climb, push, pull, and perform repetitive lifting
• Mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
