Part Time Steward

Responsibilities

• Cleans all kitchen areas, to include pots, pans, all silver items, silverware, platters, etc., at all times.
• Sweeps and mops floors at scheduled times and on a needed basis.
• Cleans worktables, mixers, refrigerators, etc., at all times.
• Delivers food for catered functions in a timely manner.
• Cleans kitchen areas and back of house at all times, daily and nightly.
• Adheres to all Sonesta Sanitation and Safety Guidelines.
• Delivers passionate and engaging service to guests by recognizing individual guests and anticipating their unique needs to exceed expectations.
• Consistently delivers the GUEST model:
  • Greet or welcome everyone warmly with a smile
  • Use eye and ear contact and guest’s name
  • Establish/anticipate needs
  • Solve and own all requests/complaints
  • Thank everyone
• Builds solid relationships with colleagues by treating them with respect and dignity.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including working in other areas of the hotel to assist operations.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions.
• Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience.
• Strong communication skills, utilized for training, safety, and guest interactions.
• Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
