Part-time Staff- Sign Language Interpreter - Weatherford Campus

About the role

Employees in this title may work no more than fourteen (14) hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide sign language interpreting services to students and personnel working in conjunction with other full and part-time interpreters.
• This may include classroom, lab instruction, tutoring, and/or extra-curricular activities.

Requirements

• Level 1 certification is required.
• Certification required either through the state of Texas or the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf.
• Must reflect fluency in American Sign Language and/or Signed English to maintain effective communication with students and college personnel.

Qualifications

• Required Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred Experience: Certification from the Board of Evaluators for Interpreters. College training in interpreting or American Sign Language preferred.
