Part Time SIU Investigator

About the role

Alpine Intel is seeking a Part-Time Private Investigator - Special Investigations (SIU) to join our growing team in Minneapolis, MN. We are looking for bright candidates with a passion for problem solving and at least five (5) years of investigations experience. As an SIU Investigator, you will conduct a variety of insurance-related investigations, including auto and property theft, fire damages, auto accidents, commercial claims, finding missing persons, courthouse searches, and other investigative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Complete recorded detailed interviews of those insured, claimants, witnesses, and others as identified.
• Complete scene investigations, including photographing.
• Conduct in-person visits of medical clinics.
• Complete neighborhood canvasses.
• Make sound judgments during the course of the investigation.
• Provide timely progress updates.
• Complete detailed investigative reports.

Requirements

• Current and active Private Investigation License (required for hire).
• At least five (5) years of investigations experience.
• Self-motivated, determined, and intuitive with a strong initiative and work ethic.
• Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
• Strong observational, organizational, and listening skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and possible evenings.
• Own a reliable computer (preferably a laptop) with high-speed internet and a scanner or fax machine.
• Strong computer and internet skills.
• Proficient with a digital camera.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Must pass an extensive background check and drug test (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
• College degree preferred.
