Part-Time Server

About the role

The Hilton Austin Airport is a recently renovated, full-service hotel located in the historic Air Force command building on airport property. As Austin’s gateway hotel, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional hospitality in a unique setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and suggest menu items and specials.
• Accurately take and deliver food and beverage orders.
• Ensure product quality before serving.
• Use suggestive selling techniques to enhance guest experience.
• Operate POS systems (MICROS) for accurate billing.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of tables and service areas.
• Assist servers and in-room dining attendants as needed.
• Handle cash and declare tips per IRS standards.
• Honor all guest requests with a “Yes is the answer” attitude.

Additional Duties

• Attend orientation and required meetings.
• Follow all company policies and liquor regulations (TABC certification preferred).
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
• Report any incidents or hazards to supervisors.
• Work collaboratively with team members.

Requirements

• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry trays up to 30 lbs.
• Manual dexterity and ability to bend, reach, and twist frequently.
• Work in a noisy, fast-paced environment with fluctuating temperatures.
• Smile and engage with guests consistently.

Salary and Benefits

This position will pay $10.00 per hour plus tips to start, with scheduled annual increases. Hilton employees may participate in the Go Hilton employee travel program, offering employees and selected friends and family discounted rates at Hilton company hotels around the world.
