Part Time Security Officer in Jackson, TN

Responsibilities
- Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner
- Manage all guest/visitor access as needed and eject trespassers or violators from premises when deemed necessary
- Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles
- Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of visitor’s arrival
- Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures
- Monitor and/or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft, and other criminal behavior
- Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks
- Warn violators of infractions, e.g., loitering, smoking, or possession of prohibited items
- Respond to calls of distress, alarms, and emergencies such as fire, injuries, or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
- Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
- Ensure accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
- Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- High school degree or equivalent
- TN Guard Card preferred, or the ability to obtain a TN Guard Card
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Minimum of one year of customer service or security service experience
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug test)
- This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping, and walking for extended periods of time
Benefits
The ideal candidate will earn a $100 Quarterly Perfect Attendance Bonus for showing up strong and consistent.
Pay
$18.00 per hour
Schedule
This is a Part Time position requiring weekend and holiday availability.
