Part Time Security Officer

Shifts Available

• PT - 32 hours
• Paying $15/hr

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and deter potential security risks, illegal activity, or breaches.
• Operate and monitor surveillance equipment to ensure the security of the premises.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with site and Company staff regarding security matters.
• Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents and take appropriate action.
• Assist visitors and employees with inquiries and concerns.
• Manage conflicts and disturbances in a calm and professional manner.
• Work together with law enforcement agencies as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to security functions and processes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred
• Experience in a school setting a plus
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• First Aid and CPR certification desirable
• Able to stand for extended periods, walk, and perform physical tasks as needed
• Able to work flexible hours, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Pushing/pulling/carrying and lifting may include up to 50 lbs.; stair climbing, walking and, at times, standing
• Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities
• General computer knowledge and able to adapt to software easily
