Part Time Sanitation Associate - Broadway Bakery

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
To provide support in maintaining a clean and well-maintained facility to ensure proper production, packaging and distribution conditions.
NATURE AND SCOPE
Primary emphasis in this position is on ensuring safe and clean facility conditions by mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and pulling cardboard. Primary learning challenge is proper use of equipment and product location. This position requires on-going heavy lifting and pushing, walking, use of cleaning equipment, exposure to outside conditions and wet surfaces, social skills/verbal interaction and judgment/decision making. Position functions and work hours may vary according to business needs. Assignments and work direction provided by Sanitation Lead or person in charge.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be self-directed and able to prioritize projects
- Basic maintenance skills for sanitation equipment preferred
- Reliable, punctual, honest and dependable
- Maintain proper floor conditions
- Always maintain a clean and dry facility floor
- Answer all clean up requests promptly
- Clean up messes and spills promptly and thoroughly
- Use chemical solutions as needed for clean ups
- Use wet floor signs
- Sign sweep logs when necessary
- Maintain accessibility for stock by removing unnecessary cardboard
- Remove empty/nearly empty product boxes off shelves and condenses shelf stock
- Break cardboard down and collects in bin
- Dispose of cardboard properly
- Perform general facility sanitation and clean-up
- Collect trash from inside and outside of the facility
- Transport collected trash in bins to compactor and disposes of properly
- Empty recycle bins for proper disposal/handling
- Clean bathrooms
- Vacuum rugs
- Assist in pan/dish room when necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned or delegated
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
FREQUENT: 15% of the work shift or at least ten repetitions per work shift.
OCCASIONAL: Approximately less than 15% of the work shift or fewer than 10 repetitions per work shift.
