Part-Time Sales Lead - Chico's

About the role

The Associate Lead is primarily responsible for supporting management in the general operations of the store to ensure a great customer experience and maximum profitability. This position performs various sales and register transactions, promotes customer service, and maintains operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Support management in general store operations and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Perform sales and register transactions.
• Promote customer service by ensuring associates greet and assist customers; respond to inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Handle basic operations activities including cash handling and reporting, price changes, merchandise handling, and open/close duties.
• Review time sheets and payroll documentation for accuracy and submit as required.
• Monitor associate sales activities and productivity; communicate performance to associates and provide motivation and training.
• Maintain awareness of customers to improve service levels and reduce security risks; stay current on operational policies regarding payments, exchanges, and security practices.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions; present and display merchandise according to standards.
• Support and administer receipt and dispatch of inventory and supplies per company policy.
• Supervise associates engaged in sales, inventory receipt, cash reconciliation, or customer service.
• Prepare weekly schedules to ensure proper floor coverage within fiscal guidelines.
• Model sales expectations by using various techniques and communicating product knowledge; recommend merchandise selections based on customer needs.
• Build and maintain customer relationships through clienteling and wardrobing.
• Maintain standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other duties as directed by management.
• Participate in and facilitate visual directives including monthly store sets and merchandise replenishment.
• Assist in the development of store associates; interpret Key Performance Indicator reports and deliver coaching as needed; provide feedback to Store Manager for associate performance appraisals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Minimum 2 years prior retail or sales management experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to travel to stores throughout the district.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
• Ability to communicate with customers, stand and maneuver on the sales floor and stockroom, operate a register, lift and carry 50 pounds, hand/fold merchandise, climb, reach, and push/pull.
• Regular attendance is essential to ensure adequate coverage to meet company objectives.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay

The wage range for this position is $16.00 to $20.00. Successful candidates’ wage rates will be determined based on their individual qualifications.
