About the role

We’re looking for an energetic, goal-oriented retail professional and comfort enthusiast to join our San Francisco store as a Sales Lead. Reporting to the Store Manager, you’ll serve as a keyholder and sales floor leader, overseeing opening and closing procedures, floor coverage, and daily performance goals. Our stores operate with lean, agile teams of approximately 6–8 people, so you’ll balance delegating tasks with leading by example through active selling.

  • Daily Communication & Goal Alignment: Lead daily shift huddles to communicate sales targets, service goals, and floor priorities, keeping the team motivated and aligned.
  • Floor Delegation & Coverage Management: Coordinate real-time team coverage, assign floor tasks, and manage employee break schedules to optimize productivity and service.
  • Selling & Service Model Excellence: Model high standards for premium selling and service, including warm greetings, attentive listening, and brand storytelling.
  • Active Peer Coaching & Development: Provide in-the-moment coaching to Sales Associates to strengthen selling skills, product knowledge, and service expectations.
  • Platform-Driven Clienteling: Utilize our digital clienteling platform to cultivate customer relationships, meet outreach goals, and support peers in clienteling habits.
  • Onboarding & Best Practice Sharing: Support onboarding and training of new team members by sharing operational best practices and product knowledge.
  • In-the-Moment Problem Solving: Resolve customer escalations, determine service recovery paths, and troubleshoot inventory or POS system issues during shifts.
  • Operational Compliance & Visual Maintenance: Ensure adherence to daily safety protocols, back-of-house organization, and visual merchandising replenishment directives.

Requirements

  • 1–2+ years of retail supervisory or keyholder experience in a premium, specialized, or customer-centric retail environment.
  • Ability to pivot from leader to doer: maintain an organized sales floor while engaging directly with customers as a high-performing executor.
  • A passion for the "Soft Home" space: genuine love for comfort, home styling, and product education, with the ability to help customers design their dream bed and bath setups.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills: positive, solution-oriented mindset to resolve shift conflicts, motivate peers, and maintain a high-performing environment.
  • Agility for a growth-stage environment: experience navigating scaling processes and optimizing systems as a brand grows (a plus).
  • Familiarity with retail and workplace systems: experience with Apple-based ecosystem (iPads/Macs) and platforms like Shopify POS, NetSuite, Slack, and Google Workspace (a plus).
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts based on business needs.
