Part-Time Sales Floor Associate - Austin Bluffs Store

About the role

The Associate I, Retail Sales Floor ensures the sales floor is well stocked, organized, and presentable, interacts with customers, maintains cleanliness of the sales floor and restrooms, and provides excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Meets or exceeds minimum productivity standards and KPI for assigned duties.
• Acts as ambassador of pricing according to Goodwill standards (good, better, best), researching item value as needed.
• Maintains a clean and organized sales floor by cleaning shelves/racks, picking items up, putting away products from racks/carts/baskets, and handling returned/unwanted items.
• Ensures sales floor areas are properly merchandised (categorized, colorized, sized), makes decisions to flex product to improve shopping experience and increase sales.
• Communicates production needs to the manager on duty.
• Provides excellent customer service to staff and customers by adhering to the 10‑foot rule (smile, greet, make eye contact when within 10 ft) and answering product questions.
• Rotates or pulls old/unsold products in a timely manner to refresh selection.
• Responsible for e‑commerce product identification and pulling from the sales floor.
• Follows all retail center policies, safety processes, and procedures.
• Cross‑trains in other departments and acts as backup as required.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of retail experience preferred; prior visual merchandising experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and decision‑making ability.
• Ability to use basic technologies to follow company standards.
• Ability to judge quality and value of products, including researching value.
• Ability to see color and use judgment for quality/value assessment.
• Effective communication with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends, evenings, holidays, and occasional overtime.
