About the role

As a Sales Associate, you'll be the face of our brand, ensuring every customer feels welcomed and has a positive experience. You will help create a lifestyle aesthetic that leverages our apparel and footwear, showcasing the versatility and appeal of our products in everyday life. Additionally, you'll guide and inform our customers while maintaining a visually appealing environment in line with Salomon's brand and visual merchandising guidelines.

Essential duties

• Customer Service
  • Use exceptional customer service skills, sales techniques, and product knowledge to help customers find the perfect products and drive sales.
  • Incorporate apparel and footwear into styling suggestions, demonstrating how they can create a cohesive lifestyle aesthetic.
  • Quickly and positively find solutions for customers, ensuring responsive and engaging interactions with diligent follow-up.
  • Address complaints and objections swiftly and professionally, turning potential issues into positive experiences.
  • Help protect company assets and procedures by promoting loss prevention practices.
  • Ensure the sales floor and stockroom are clean, well-organized, and inviting for customers.
  • Confidently handle cash and digital transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Visual Merchandising
  • Contribute to maintaining high brand visual standards, ensuring excellence in product presentation at all times.
  • Support with replenishment and pricing duties, including preparation for sales and promotions as needed.

Availability expectations

• Part-time employees must be adaptable to the business's evolving needs, with availability including mornings, evenings, and weekends as determined by the Store Manager.
• All employees are expected to be available to work on Black Friday (the day after US Thanksgiving).
• Availability is required from the second week of December until the end of the holiday season, with the exact end date determined annually.

Physical demands & working environment

• Regularly required to travel, talk, and hear.
• Frequently required to sit, stand, and walk.
• Occasionally required to kneel, stoop, crouch, twist, and lift up to 30 pounds, with or without accommodations.
