Part Time Sales Associate | SoHo

Overview: The Sales Associate is a commission‑eligible position responsible for assisting customers with their shopping needs and providing them with an exceptional shopping experience. The Sales Associate must have knowledge about Veronica Beard merchandise, understand current fashion trends and convey the brand and style. This role is based in our SoHo location.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by wardrobing and selling merchandise that meets and exceeds their needs.
• Greet and offer all customers exceptional service.
• React to and follow through on customers’ needs.
• Achieve selling standards and goals consistently.
• Provide merchandise information and current fashion tips to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
• Represent the fashion and style of Veronica Beard.
• Utilize the Client Program and book to develop and build a client base that generates consistent revenue.
• Maintain displays, fill merchandise on the sales floor, and assist in floor‑set execution.
• Return merchandise from fitting rooms to the selling floor.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness of store and backroom.
• Process merchandise shipments as needed.
• Replenish merchandise daily to ensure full representation on the sales floor.
• Understand and follow all company policies and procedures.
• Adhere to company guidelines of dependability, including attendance and requirements.
• Attend store meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by store management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year retail service and selling experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Basic math skills for purchase, payment transactions, and bank deposits.

Skills

• Strong verbal and communication skills.
• Strong observation skills for identifying and assessing customer and employee behavior, reactions, and floor awareness.
• Ability to retain and utilize data such as names, merchandise information, policies, and procedures.
• Knowledge of current fashion trends and styles; ability to represent Veronica Beard’s fashion and style.
• Comfortable being on camera for social media purposes (both stills and video).

Physical Demands

• Standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, and climbing ladders 6‑12 feet.
• Grasping, pushing, lifting, or carrying items weighing 3‑15 pounds with either hand.
• Reaching above or below shoulder level.

Pay

The base hourly range for this role is between $17.00 and $18.00. Compensation varies based on factors such as skill sets, experience, training, degrees, and certifications.
