The Mountain Sport Company, Salomon, is seeking a Sales Associate to join our dynamic team in NYC. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the outdoors and eager to share our products with customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Connect with Customers: Use exceptional customer service skills, sales techniques, and product knowledge to help customers find the perfect products and drive sales.
• Incorporate Apparel & Footwear: Demonstrate how Salomon products can create a cohesive lifestyle aesthetic.
• Problem Solver: Quickly and positively find solutions for customers, ensuring a responsive and engaging interaction, with diligent follow-up.
• Handle Challenges Professionally: Address complaints and objections swiftly and professionally, turning potential issues into positive experiences.
• Promote Security: Help protect company assets and procedures by promoting loss prevention practices.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the sales floor and stockroom are clean, well-organized, and inviting for customers.
• Transaction Confidence: Confidently handle cash and digital transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Visual Merchandising: Contribute to maintaining high brand visual standards, ensuring excellence in product presentation at all times.
• Assist with Replenishment: Support with replenishment and pricing duties, including preparation for sales and promotions as needed.

Availability Expectations

• General Availability: Part-time employees must be adaptable to the business's evolving needs. Schedules may include various shifts such as mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Peak Period Availability: Black Friday: All employees are expected to be available to work on Black Friday (the day after US Thanksgiving). Holiday Season: Availability is required from the second week of December until the end of the holiday season. The exact end date will be determined annually, based in part on the period during which guests can return holiday merchandise.
