Part-Time Sales Associate - Famous Footwear

As a Famous Footwear Sales Associate, you are passionate about providing the best shoe store experience for every customer by creating a welcoming environment and in-store culture. Responsibilities

• Ace retail operations by ensuring daily store tasks (pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory) are completed efficiently, keeping the store clean, organized, and shoppable.
• Champion the Famous Footwear culture by embodying behaviors that enhance customer connection and provide stellar customer engagement.
• Drive sales with purpose and urgency, review store performance, and communicate clearly and timely with the store team to achieve goals.
• Act with integrity by adhering to company policies, seeking feedback, and focusing on professional development.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, supporting and uplifting teammates, and assisting with training and development.
• Assist customers in finding the perfect shoe styles and fits, leveraging your passion and knowledge for shoes.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed, including overtime, to meet business needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work positively with associates at all levels.
• Exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that meets business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time.
