Part Time - Sales Associate Cashier

About the role

Retail Associate responsible for both cashiering and customer service in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow company policies and maintain store cleanliness and safety standards
• Assist with special projects and store initiatives
• Handle transactions including cash, checks, and electronic payments
• Verify customer IDs for age-restricted purchases
• Control and manage store supplies and inventory
• Perform cashier functions and maintain register security
• Report any suspicious activity to management
• Ensure proper use of store equipment and maintain sanitation
• Recognize and identify produce varieties
• Provide excellent customer service
• Perform other assigned tasks as needed

Requirements

• Effective communication and customer service skills
• Willingness to learn and perform multiple tasks
• Ability to meet technical requirements of the role
• Must meet minimum age requirements for the position
• Successful completion of cashier training
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, handle currency, lift, bend, push, and reach
• Visual acuity sufficient for verifying customer IDs
