Part-Time Sales Associate

Role Overview

This position involves functioning as a Cashier and/or Stocker, with leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Manager. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service, maintaining store appearance, stocking merchandise, and supporting store operations to maximize profitability and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload trucks, stock shelves, and rotate merchandise according to plan-o-grams.
• Assist customers in locating products and operate cash registers efficiently, handling payments and bagging items.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including cleaning floors, restrooms, and stockrooms.
• Support store setup, display arrangements, and safety procedures.
• In the absence of management, authorize refunds, oversee cash handling, balance registers, and monitor security practices.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to perform basic math calculations and handle cash accurately.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures, safety policies, and store presentation standards.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with some supervisory or related experience.

Working Conditions

• Frequent standing, bending, lifting up to 55 pounds, and operating store equipment.
• Environment includes moderate noise, occasional outdoor exposure, and potential travel for store-related tasks.
