Part-Time Sales Associate
Location: Rover Outfitters/Home, Mohegan Sun, Uncasville, CT. Pay: $16.94/hour.
About the role
The ideal candidate should be passionate about providing exceptional customer service and have a strong interest in outdoor brands. As a Sales Associate, you will assist customers with purchases, maintain an organized and visually appealing store, and contribute to the boutique’s success in a fast-paced, exciting environment. A “customer is priority” mindset is essential.
Responsibilities
- Treat all customers and employees with respect and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Promote a safe working and shopping environment.
- Uphold all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Participate in all training opportunities.
- Perform non-sale tasks such as product receiving, merchandising, store cleaning, and product organization.
- Recognize verbal and non-verbal customer cues and engage customers accordingly.
- Use open-ended questions to assess customer needs and make relevant merchandise suggestions.
- Build store sales by introducing complementary items.
- Stay current on product knowledge and communicate features and benefits to influence buying decisions.
- Assist customers in finding substitutions for out-of-stock items or arrange special orders.
- Partner with staff to ensure a consistent customer experience throughout each visit.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must pass a background check prior to being interviewed.
