Part Time Retail Team Lead

About the role

In partnership with store leadership, work alongside store associates providing daily direction, communication, and training to execute daily action plans in accordance with Vera Bradley’s objectives and standards. As a Team Leader (also referred to as a Key Holder), you will be responsible for opening and closing the store in addition to leading the team to reach sales goals and provide an amazing shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Set high standards and motivate the team to create an exceptional shopping experience.
• Responsible for exceeding sales goals, building store traffic, converting guests, interacting with the product, and promoting campaigns and contests to drive brand awareness and lasting customer relationships.
• Act as a Brand Ambassador, consistently modeling and upholding the Vera Bradley Core Values.
• Assist the leadership team with planning, implementing, and maintaining visual merchandising brand standards.
• Assist with store operational duties including inventory, ordering, training, Fussy Matrix, emailing and calling guests, and opening/closing procedures.
• Act as a liaison between store associates and store leadership to create a fun and collaborative work environment.
• Maintain awareness of loss prevention by supporting a culture of honesty and connecting store associate engagement with shrink reduction.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Prior retail experience strongly preferred; prior management experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in specialty retail strongly preferred.
• Experience with retail POS systems a plus.

Environment & Physical Demands

• Constant walking and standing; frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Must be able to work with strong fragrances and scents (e.g., eau de toilette, burning candles, bath and shower gel, body lotion, hand cream, and bar soap) throughout the workday.
• Strong sensory skills such as good eyesight, hearing, and dexterity.
• Ability to consistently lift 10-35 lbs; occasionally lift up to 55 lbs with the ability to push or pull more than 55 lbs.

Pay

Base pay range: $15.81 - $23.68 per hour. Starting pay: $16.00 USD. Vera Bradley’s compensation ranges are based on market data and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations. Individual pay within the listed range depends on work location.
