Part-Time Retail Store Customer Service and Sales Associate

About the role

The UPS Store in Richmond Heights (6642 Clayton Road) is hiring one Part-Time Retail Store Customer Service and Sales Associate. You will provide world-class service to retail customers by processing packages for shipment, handling passport photos, operating copiers, fax machines, binding and laminating equipment, and point-of-sale systems. You will advise customers on products, services, and best-value options while maintaining a professional appearance and a genuinely helpful demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in and telephone customers
• Practice active listening with customers, team members, and leadership
• Take ownership of customer shipping needs and offer viable solutions
• Learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
• Operate all equipment, software, and devices expertly and assist others in learning
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must hold a current Missouri Notary License (licensed notaries receive higher pay and a bonus per completed notary)
• Previous retail sales experience
• Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites
• High School Diploma or GED
• Friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful demeanor
• Fast learner committed to mastering all aspects of the business quickly

Qualifications

• Outstanding phone, verbal, and written communication skills, including spelling and math
• Able to lift 40+ pounds
• Prompt, reliable, and responsible
• Flexible schedule; willing to work around college student class schedules

Schedule

15–25 hours per week, including afternoons, early evenings, and at least one weekend day.
