Part Time Retail Sales Cashier Associate - Fort Collins Store

About the Role

The Associate I, Retail Sales Cashier, is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by greeting customers in a welcoming manner and responding timely and professionally to customer inquiries. This position supports Goodwill's mission by offering to round up transactions and thanking customers for their purchases. Availability to work evenings and weekends is a must.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and complete fast and friendly transactions.
• Verify till counts and maintain a balanced cash drawer using a computer-based point-of-sale system.
• Drive the roundup initiative by engaging customers and sharing knowledge of the mission it supports.
• Assist customers with questions, concerns, and purchases.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including shelves, racks, and restrooms.
• Initiate customer delight/power hour calls over the intercom to organize and clean the sales floor.
• Follow all retail center policies, procedures, and safety processes.
• Cross-train in other departments or areas as required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year of retail sales or cash handling experience preferred.
• Strong cash handling and math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplication).
• Ability to operate a computer-based cash register and credit card machine.
• Excellent communication skills with customers, managers, and peers.
• Ability to withstand prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to eight (8) hours per day.
• Ability to see color for accurate transactions.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and occasional overtime.
