About the role
Deliver advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment in critical care settings.
Responsibilities
- Administer aerosolized medications
- Manage ventilators and perform airway management
- Analyze arterial blood gases
- Educate patients and staff on respiratory care
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to plan and implement patient care, ensuring safety and quality standards
- Participate in invasive and non-invasive procedures
- Conduct pulmonary testing
- Support performance improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program (Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred)
- Active licensure and certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP)
Experience & Skills
- 0-2 years of clinical experience, including at least 6 months in critical care
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with electronic documentation and patient safety practices
