Part-Time Residential Advisor

About the role

Make more than a living, make a difference. As a Residential Advisor at Denison Job Corps Center, you will provide a safe, supportive, and predictable environment through dormitory supervision of Job Corps trainees. You will monitor their progress in attaining performance contract goals and utilize behavior management and Core-Value-driven practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct dormitory operations in accordance with center operating policy and procedures.
• Provide daily supervision to students aged 16-24 to ensure good order and discipline are maintained in the dormitory.
• Ensure dormitories are supervised 24 hours a day and all rules, policies, and procedures are followed by residents.
• Maintain accountability of all residents and logbook entries for significant events during your shift.
• Assist students in adjusting to Center life by providing supervision, behavior modification, and acting as a mentor.
• Document student records according to PRH, inputting all relevant student data.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid and prefer AED certification.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
• Candidates should be aware this role is classified as safety-sensitive, requiring pre-employment drug/alcohol testing consistent with state law and organizational policy.
