Part Time Resident Assistant

About the role

The Resident Assistant (RA) is at the center of our mission to provide compassionate, dedicated care for senior residents. You will support social interaction, community connection, and daily living activities while building meaningful relationships. The position is part of Benedictine Living, a non‑profit senior care organization founded by the Sisters of St. Scholastica, guided by the core values of Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect, and Justice.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living and maintain their personal environment.
• Provide observation and documentation of resident conditions and activities.
• Support onboarding of new associates.
• Complete and maintain assigned medication administration training program and competencies.
• Operate lift equipment as required (must be 18 years of age).
• Manage multiple priorities and independently prioritize tasks.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
• Maintain BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Current BLS certification.
• Completion of medication administration training program and related competencies.
• Ability to operate lift equipment as needed.

Pay

$21.45 – $29.57 per hour.
