Job Summary

The Metabolism in Lactation (MiLac) laboratory of Dr. Rachel Walker in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at Penn State is seeking part-time research assistants to support projects related to human lactation and metabolism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organizing samples for analysis
  • General lab maintenance
  • Completing biochemical assays
  • Developing and testing laboratory protocols
  • Analyzing data
  • Aiding in preparation of posters, presentations, or manuscripts

Requirements

  • Preference will be given to:
  • Undergraduate students with experience in laboratory work
  • Undergraduate students majoring in Nutritional Sciences or willing to enroll in at least one introductory nutrition course
  • Individuals with a willingness to learn, curiosity, and ability to work independently

Background Checks/Clearances

Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
