Part-Time Research Support - Walker Lab
Job Summary
The Metabolism in Lactation (MiLac) laboratory of Dr. Rachel Walker in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at Penn State is seeking part-time research assistants to support projects related to human lactation and metabolism.
Key Responsibilities
- Organizing samples for analysis
- General lab maintenance
- Completing biochemical assays
- Developing and testing laboratory protocols
- Analyzing data
- Aiding in preparation of posters, presentations, or manuscripts
Requirements
- Preference will be given to:
- Undergraduate students with experience in laboratory work
- Undergraduate students majoring in Nutritional Sciences or willing to enroll in at least one introductory nutrition course
- Individuals with a willingness to learn, curiosity, and ability to work independently
Background Checks/Clearances
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
