Duties

  • Weigh cattle refusal feed
  • Collect feed samples
  • Auxiliary assistance in research trials with sample collection (fecals, urine, blood, rumen contents, etc.)

Requirements

  • Experience with cattle or other livestock preferred but not necessary
  • Detail-oriented, motivated, and capable of working independently
  • Flexible hours (up to 24 hours/week)
  • Responsibility for at least one early morning refusal shift per week (5 AM)
  • Assistance with sampling at all hours of the day and night

Individuals need to be detail-oriented, motivated, and capable of working independently.

Skills

General care and cleaning of the lab and research areas is also expected.

Benefits

Approval of remote and hybrid work is not guaranteed regardless of work location.

Schedule

Hours are flexible (up to 24 hours/week), however students are responsible for at least one early morning refusal shift per week (5 AM) and up to two weekend days per month.

Background Checks/Clearances

Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
