Job Description and Position Requirements
The Children's Eating Behavior Laboratory under the direction of Kathleen Keller is seeking a motivated, people-oriented individual for a wage payroll position focused on the measurement of eating behavior and neurocognitive function in children. This role provides hands-on experience developing test-meals, assessing body composition, measuring neurocognitive functioning, and data processing. Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out behavioral coding from video recordings of children eating in the laboratory.
- Aid in the preparation and measurement of experimental test-meals.
- Collaborate with parents and children to gather information about the home eating environment.
- Process, organize, and enter data related to childhood eating behaviors.
Requirements
Undergraduate or graduate-level coursework in nutritional sciences, chemistry, biology, or a related STEM field is preferred. Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team are also required.
Compensation
The starting rate for this job is $12.
Background Checks/Clearances
This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
