Part-Time Registered Respiratory Therapist

About the role

The Respiratory Therapist II delivers complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments, primarily in critical care settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care through assessments, therapy planning, and collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Administer aerosolized medications, manage ventilators, perform airway procedures, and analyze arterial blood gases.
• Educate patients, support staff, and mentor new employees or students.
• Ensure safety and compliance with policies, promote evidence-based practices, and participate in quality improvement.
• Assist with invasive/non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and electronic orders, fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Current certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or RCP.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills, with the ability to establish effective professional relationships.
