Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care including pre-op assessments, circulating support during procedures, and PACU recovery
• Verify patient histories, consents, and required documentation
• Maintain patient condition, vital signs, pain levels, and recovery progress
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, medications, and discharge instructions
• Accurately document all nursing care in the electronic health record

Safety Officer & Compliance Duties

• Serve as the designated Safety Officer for the facility
• Support compliance with AAAHC standards related to patient safety, infection prevention, emergency preparedness, and risk management
• Conduct and document safety rounds, drills, and risk assessments
• Review incident reports and support quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities
• Maintain audit-ready safety logs and regulatory documentation
• Afford assistance with staff education on safety policies and emergency protocols

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in perioperative nursing and safety officer duties
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Physical requirements: Sit, talk, hear, and use hands to write, type, or operate office equipment; occasionally reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and smell; perform repetitive motions, including reaching overhead and typing; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds; maintain peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustments

Pay Range

$60/hr
