Part-Time Registered Dietitian
The Role
We are looking to add an experienced Part-Time Registered Dietitian that is interested in working with the elderly to our Cura Hospitality team in Farmington, MO. As a Registered Dietitian with Cura Hospitality, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals.
*This position will be scheduled 17 hours per week at Farmington Presbyterian Manor, while also covering 8 hours every other week at Rolla Presbyterian Manor.*
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide Nutrition Assessments for admissions, quarterly assessments, annual assessments, tube feedings, weight changes +/-4% in 1 month, wounds, and for significant change assessments (such as a hospice admission or a significant improvement in ADLs)
- Nutrition education as needed and requested by residents
- Create and quarterly update care plans for nurses/CNAs/CMAs to reference at meals and snacks to tailor to resident food preferences
- Complete MDS (Minimum Data Sheets) for Section K and CAAs
- Use the nutrition-focused physical exam to identify residents who meet criteria for malnutrition according to ASPEN Malnutrition Criteria
- Care conference meetings with families to update them on changes with the resident
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to provide resident-centered care during weekly clinical meetings
- QAPI Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Meetings each quarter
- Monthly Kitchen Inspections and Meal Service Audits
What We're Looking For
- Must-haves:
- - Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field
- - Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility
- - Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process
- - Licensed or certified, per state requirements
- - Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights
- - Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics
- Nice-to-haves:
- - Master's degree in Nutrition or related field
- - Experience working in healthcare or long-term care

Compensation Range
$30.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on experience.
