Part-Time Radio Host / Multimedia Content Creator & Brand Influencer - KMON

About the role

Townsquare Media Group is seeking a Radio Host / Multimedia Content Creator & Brand Influencer for KMON. The role requires a blend of on-air presence, digital content creation, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Host live, engaging on-air shows Monday through Friday
• Create and publish a minimum of two original local articles per day for the station website and mobile app
• Write and schedule engaging posts across social platforms including Facebook
• Connect with listeners through interviews, live appearances, remotes, and community events
• Represent the station at promotions, live broadcasts, and special programming initiatives
• Produce commercials and assist with market-wide programming and content needs
• Build authentic community relationships
• Collaborate with on-air, digital, production, and sales teams to support integrated content initiatives
• Create and publish original video content regularly, including social-first short-form video (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) and longer-form segments
• Pitch yourself as a trusted community voice to local advertisers
• Participate in person in high-visibility community events, client meetings, and business functions

Requirements

• Proven, active track record creating original written digital content AND video content across social platforms
• Strong on-air presence AND on-camera comfort
• Solid understanding of current events and various formats
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Comfort multitasking, meeting deadlines, and working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to operate control boards, remote broadcast equipment, and related production tools
• Exceptional public speaking, presentation, and networking skills
• Willingness to quickly learn and become proficient in NexGen and Adobe Audition
• Active video creator with a current, maintained presence on at least one short-form video platform (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts)
• Entrepreneurial, sales-minded instincts

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (required)
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and vehicle (required)
