Part-Time Public Safety Officer

ASU-Beebe is seeking applications for a Part-Time Public Safety Officer. This position reports to the HE Public Safety Commander at the Beebe campus and works up to 19 hours per week as needed.

About the role

The Part-Time Public Safety Officer is responsible for providing campus safety and security.

Requirements

• Must be a certified full or part-time police officer.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and preferably certified by the Arkansas Law Enforcement Standards Training Academy.
• Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.

Pay

$20.00 per hour

Background Check

This position will be subject to a pre-employment criminal and sex-offender registry background check. In some cases, an additional financial/credit history background check may also be required. Convictions that have been sealed or legally eradicated, and misdemeanor convictions for which probation was completed and the case was dismissed, will be excluded. Disclosure does not constitute an automatic bar to employment; factors such as the date of the offense, seriousness and nature of the violation, rehabilitation, and the position applied for will be considered.
