Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, and staff on campus by utilizing vehicle and foot patrol functions.
- Respond to and assist with all on-campus emergencies by coordinating with first responders and campus leadership.
- Conduct security and safety inspections of buildings and grounds, open and secure buildings, and deter crime by means of physical presence.
- Provide exemplary customer service to the College, community, and campus guests, by means of assisting motorists, conducting escorts, and performing traffic duties.
- Complete written incident reports and necessary forms as they relate to public safety duties.
- Aid in conducting public safety training sessions.
- Contribute to the management of campus emergency notification systems.
- Uphold and maintain the Campus PSEP staff standards.
- Work with the Campus PSEP Lead to maintain programs ensuring compliance with Federal and state safety regulations, including but not limited to fire code and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to manage and handle a variety of public safety related situations.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Must have the ability to utilize Microsoft Office software.
- Must possess organizational skills and be able to clearly and accurately communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Must be adept at resolving individual and group conflicts.
- Must possess the skills necessary to operate and maintain CCTV and Access Control systems and operate alarms.
Qualifications
- Must be available to provide coverage for the PSEP Supervisor during periods of absence or other operational needs.

Schedule
Scheduling Flexibility: Requires flexibility to work varying schedules, with primary work hours generally occurring between 5pm and 10pm.
