About the role

Program Manager at Right At School oversees local school district before and after school extended day programs. The role focuses on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment, with a mission to inspire a love of learning and support schools and families.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibits role model qualities ensuring safety and joy standards are met by supporting a clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities to a team of staff members.
  • Supports operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date.
  • Outlines attendance protocols, behavior policies, safety procedures, and ensures program tasks are completed effectively.
  • Continually coaches, fosters respectful relationships among staff to address any challenges or issues promptly to maintain team cohesion and productivity.
  • Consistently supports and reports on safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all participants.
  • Identify and submit proof of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination for all staff members who are 18 years of age or older.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED completed.
  • Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs.
  • Coursework or training in child development and/or related fields.
  • Effective communication skills; oral, written, and visual with adults and children.
  • Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community.
  • Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.
  • New Jersey State Requirements: Ability to meet state-specific requirements; First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Short and Long Term Disability Requirements based on capacity.

Qualifications

  • 6-15 children: High School Diploma or GED completed, 6 hours training (in child care), 2 years experience.
  • 16-30 children: High School Diploma or GED completed, 6 hours training (in child care), 3 years experience.
  • 31 or more children: High School Diploma or GED completed, 6 hours training (in child care), 3 hours training (in child program management), 2 years experience.

  • Engage meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to support effective communication and relationship building.
  • Respond promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours to ensure transparency and trust.
  • Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Area Manager to support outlined program goals and assist in implementing changes or processes as guided.
  • Maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs.
  • Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum while providing a safe and engaging environment.

Pay

Pay Rate: Insert pay range here, omit top dollar (based on education and experience)

Schedule

This position will start 2026-2027 school year. Program Hours: Monday- Friday, 7:00am-8:45am and 3:25pm-6:30pm
