About the Role

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs, focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment to support the success of all students. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit role model qualities to ensure safety and joy standards are met by supporting a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities among staff.
  • Maintain operational efficiency by keeping site documents and licensing standards up to date.
  • Outline and enforce attendance protocols, behavior policies, and safety procedures.
  • Provide continual coaching and foster respectful relationships among staff to address challenges promptly.
  • Engage meaningfully with families, client partners, peers, and children to support effective communication and relationship building.
  • Respond promptly to emails, text messages, and inquiries during program hours.
  • Collaborate regularly with the Area Manager to support program goals and implement changes.
  • Consistently support and report on safety protocols to ensure participant well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records for student check-ins and check-outs, following "name to face" attendance procedures.
  • Implement daily activities, fitness fun, and curriculum in a safe and engaging environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED completed.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Experience working with children, including those with unique and special needs.
  • Coursework or training in child development and/or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, and visual) with adults and children.
  • Ability to model professional standards when interacting with students, parents, staff, and the community.
  • Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn.

Qualifications

Pennsylvania State Requirements:

  • First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
  • Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • One of the following:
    • BA or BS in early childhood, child development, special ed, elementary ed, or human services field including 30 hours in early childhood, child development, special ed, elementary ed, or human services field + 2 years of experience.
    • Associate degree (AD) in early childhood, child development, special ed, elementary ed, or human services field + 3 years of experience.
    • AD including 30 hours in early childhood, child development, special ed, elementary ed, or human services field + 1 year of experience.
    • BA or BS in any field + 4 years of experience.

Pay

Pay Rate: $20.00-$24.00 (based on education and experience)

Schedule

Program Hours: Monday-Friday 6:30am to 8:35am AND 3:10pm to 6:00pm
