Part Time Production Iron Operator

About the role

Vestis is hiring part‑time production team members to work in an industrial laundry facility. No experience is required, and paid training is provided. This role is a great fit for students, those seeking a second job, or anyone looking for steady part‑time income.

Shift details

• Monday–Friday, 9:30am–2:30pm
• No weekends required
• Weekly pay (Daily Pay available at select locations)
• $16/hour

Responsibilities

• Stage and feed merchandise (towels, napkins, tablecloths, aprons, etc.) onto the ironer properly to reduce wrinkling and tangling
• Receive and fold merchandise from the ironer
• Identify and segregate merchandise not meeting quality standards (rips, tears, holes, stains)
• Accurately verify merchandise quantity and bundle by type; place bundles in correct storage carts
• Maneuver full and empty carts
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and observe best practices in all production activities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions
• Working knowledge of basic math skills
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to meet attendance schedule
• Work is based on a shift schedule, and may include weekends (though this specific shift does not)
• Overtime required as needed

Working environment

• Work is performed in a warehouse setting; regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold, dust, and noise

• Position involves repetitive motions over the duration of an entire shift
• Requires bending, reaching, pulling, twisting, and lifting
• Requires use of hands for grasping and other manipulations
• Requires standing and walking for long periods of time

Education

High school degree or equivalent preferred.
