Part Time Porter

About the role

Residential and commercial property owners rely on Janitors to protect the health of tenants, guests, and vendors. Planned Companies Building Services (PBS) is hiring friendly, detail-oriented Janitors and Custodians for common-area and bathroom cleaning services. You’ll ensure a clean, healthy, and safe environment for everyone on the property. Politeness, respect, thoroughness, and keen observation are essential to delivering the highest level of service.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors of various types
• Strip, buff, and wax floors as needed
• Dust ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and loose furniture
• Scrub and sanitize bathroom toilets, sinks, and kitchen fixtures
• Empty trash cans and wash and dry windows
• Request cleaning supplies, report breakages, and note needed repairs
• Assist building management with projects and other duties as requested

Requirements

• Willingness to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
• Experience in similar roles using cleaning products and floor-care equipment
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong report-writing and clear verbal communication skills
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
