Part-Time Photo Editor, California Post

Responsibilities

• Produce fast visual coverage on live breaking news and trending stories.
• Fulfill photo requests to produce high quality assets for digital and print needs.
• Researching live news, sports & political events.
• Create visually impactful composites for the homepage.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience at a multi-platform digital media brand.
• Keen newsroom experience to thrive in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
• Good photo agency knowledge of mainstream wire services and agents.
• Proven photo research and social verification skills.
• Excellent news judgment with knowledge of news, sports and entertainment.
• Digital-first mindset with experience adapting photos across platforms.
• Proficient Adobe Photoshop skills.

Qualifications

Note: The shift schedule for this role is Friday-Monday, 9am-4pm PST. This role will be expected to work onsite in our Century City office.

Pay

Base Pay Range: $30.00 - $40.00 Hourly
