Part-Time Pharmacist - Clinical Outpatient

About the role

Provides comprehensive pharmacy consulting and medication management services, ensuring safe and effective drug dispensation in compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Engages with customers to offer assistance, resolve issues, and ensure a positive experience.
• Reviews prescriptions for safety, efficacy, and appropriateness, consulting with physicians when needed.
• Manages medication verification, inventory, and insurance claims.
• Performs retail, clinical, and wellness services, including preventive healthcare.
• Supports pharmacy operations by assisting with workflow optimization and staff supervision.
• Maintains regulatory compliance and builds relationships with healthcare providers.
• Participates in community outreach and provides training to pharmacy interns.
• Contributes to departmental goals and strives for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Active pharmacy licensure and relevant experience.
• Strong computer literacy, interpersonal skills, and clinical awareness.
• Certifications such as BLS/ACLS preferred.
• Ability to interpret prescriptions accurately and manage medication inventories.
• Effective communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to professional development and maintaining current knowledge of pharmacy practices.
