Part Time Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

About the role

Responsible for evaluating, treating, and caring for pediatric patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care plans.
• Recognize and address patient and family healthcare needs, providing education within departmental policies.
• Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and promote best practices.
• Use laboratory systems such as ISTAT blood analysis, adhering to all policies.
• Demonstrate professional behavior, serve as a role model, and support student and new employee development.
• Maintain flexibility to work at various sites when needed.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting equipment and patients over 15 pounds, with exposure risks.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist certification from NBRC.
• NJ State Respiratory License and AHA BLS Provider Certification.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work day shifts part-time (24 hours/week), maintain professional accountability, and adapt to evolving duties.
