Part Time PE Prep Paraprofessional - North Elementary

About the role

The Part-Time PE Prep Paraprofessional works under the supervision of the School Principal. The Elementary Health/PE/Yoga Assistant is responsible for teaching Health, PE, and/or Yoga education to pupils in grades K-5 and implementing the District-approved curriculum for elementary students at the assigned school locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support assistance to students and student groups.
• Participate in the development, maintenance, and carrying out of systems for classroom management.
• Guide students in working and interacting harmoniously with other students.
• Operate various types of office equipment such as computers and copy machines.
• Comply with established district policies and procedures.
• Ensure regular, reliable, and predictable attendance and job performance.
• Utilize the course study prescribed by the District-approved curriculum to enable students to:
  • Demonstrate a positive learning attitude.
  • Develop social skills and ethical responsibility.
  • Demonstrate responsible emotional and cognitive behaviors.
  • Develop physical skills and personal hygiene.
  • Participate in daily sustained physical activity to develop health-related physical fitness.
  • Achieve and apply knowledge of physical fitness.
  • Demonstrate respect for self and others through responsible personal behavior in physical activity settings and social behavior.

Schedule

18 hours per week.
