About the role
R1 is a technology-driven company that provides solutions to improve the patient experience and financial performance of healthcare providers. As a Customer Service Representative, you will assist patients during their hospital check-in process.
Responsibilities
- Answer phones and computers to intake patient information efficiently and accurately.
- Work across multiple screens to collect necessary details during physician and nurse check-ins.
- Type and answer phones while managing interruptions from clinicians for urgent clinical care.
- Build trust and rapport with patients by actively listening to their concerns and addressing their fears.
- Help patients complete their registration in a fast-paced, sometimes chaotic environment.
- Collaborate with a supportive team to achieve career goals and contribute meaningfully to the healthcare community.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Excellent customer service experience.
- Preferably, some medical experience.
Qualifications
- Up-to-date on all vaccinations.
- Pass a drug test.
- Pass a background check.
Skills
- Confidence in handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Quick learning ability with technology.
- Ability to type and answer phones quickly.

Pay
The base pay range for this position is $16.00 - $21.10 per hour, with individual pay determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
This is a part-time, PRN (as needed/on-call) position.
