As an Orthodontic Assistant, you’ll support our mission to deliver excellent dental care, primarily to children (70% or more of our patient base), and contribute to community events and team initiatives.

  • Participate in local events, including school screenings and presentations to promote a positive image of Benevis.
  • Engage in morning huddles, recognize peers, and highlight examples of customer focus and collaboration.
  • Work with a team that values compassion, integrity, and patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient.
  • Guide parents and patients through processes before treatment.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide postoperative instructions.
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
  • Take and save x-rays and orthodontic facial photos to patient charts.
  • Ensure operational readiness of equipment and treatment areas.
  • Prepare tray set-ups, mix dental materials (amalgam, cement, pulp paste, impression materials), and sterilize instruments.
  • Clean chairs, rooms, and maintain a sterile environment.
  • Assist dental staff during treatments and document patient information, treatment plans, and procedures in charts.
  • Pour, trim, and polish impression casts, and fabricate custom impression trays.
  • Adhere to all government regulations, company standards, and compliance programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Orthodontic or Dental Assistant Certification (state-dependent).
  • At least 1 year of experience in Orthodontic Assisting (preferred).
  • CPR/BLS Certification (required).
  • Willingness to travel within assigned territory.
  • High focus on customer service and satisfaction.
  • Comfort and enthusiasm for working with children.
  • Compassion and dedication to patient, parent, and staff care.
  • Strong integrity and commitment to doing the right thing.
  • Dependability and reliability in attendance.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask while meeting deadlines.
  • Professional manner and appearance at all times.
