As an Orthodontic Assistant, you’ll support our mission to deliver excellent dental care, primarily to children (70% or more of our patient base), and contribute to community events and team initiatives.
- Participate in local events, including school screenings and presentations to promote a positive image of Benevis.
- Engage in morning huddles, recognize peers, and highlight examples of customer focus and collaboration.
- Work with a team that values compassion, integrity, and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient.
- Guide parents and patients through processes before treatment.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide postoperative instructions.
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
- Take and save x-rays and orthodontic facial photos to patient charts.
- Ensure operational readiness of equipment and treatment areas.
- Prepare tray set-ups, mix dental materials (amalgam, cement, pulp paste, impression materials), and sterilize instruments.
- Clean chairs, rooms, and maintain a sterile environment.
- Assist dental staff during treatments and document patient information, treatment plans, and procedures in charts.
- Pour, trim, and polish impression casts, and fabricate custom impression trays.
- Adhere to all government regulations, company standards, and compliance programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Orthodontic or Dental Assistant Certification (state-dependent).
- At least 1 year of experience in Orthodontic Assisting (preferred).
- CPR/BLS Certification (required).
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory.
- High focus on customer service and satisfaction.
