About the role
The Operating Room Attendant supports surgical staff by transporting patients from various departments to the pre-op area, assisting with room preparation, and maintaining sterile environments.
Responsibilities
- Transporting patients
- Cleaning operating rooms between procedures
- Stocking anesthesia supplies
- Cleaning anesthesia equipment
- Transporting specimens and blood products
- Assisting with patient positioning
- Opening sterile supplies
- Supporting the surgical team
- Ensuring proper room setup
- Maintaining supplies
- Upholding sterile procedures
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- Prior experience in environmental services or operating rooms preferred
