Position Summary
Fairfield Inn by Marriott is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Night Auditor to provide exceptional guest service during overnight hours. Responsibilities include greeting guests, answering phone calls, coordinating guest issues, performing accounting tasks, and maintaining a clean lobby.
Responsibilities
- Greeting guests upon arrival, checking them in, and providing information for their stay.
- Responding professionally to guests' inquiries and providing timely services.
- Answering the telephone and emails promptly and courteously.
- Coordinating solutions for guests' room issues and ensuring items are shared with the appropriate departments.
- Performing hotel accounting functions such as reconciling transactions, reviewing reports, and billing guest accounts.
- Communicating with the management team and department heads about any issues or deficiencies.
- Keeping the hotel lobby area inviting and clean by vacuuming, dusting, setting up supplies, and other duties.
- Navigating hotel systems and following emergency procedures, running reports, and distributing them as needed.
- Helping set up the breakfast area and ensuring it is ready for morning operations.
- Completing and distributing required audit processes and reports.
- Serving as the Manager on Duty for the overnight shift.
- Contacting hotel leadership for operational matters requiring additional insight and authority.
- Following and processing proper cash/check/credit card/AR control procedures, using proper guidelines and security.
- Verifying and balancing F&B Micros, adjusting or correcting accounts as needed.
- Maintaining responsibility and proper security over cash and deposits at all times.
- Helping set up the breakfast area and ensuring morning readiness.
- Completing all other tasks and assignments requested by the manager.
Essential Skills And Experience
- Prior hotel front desk or night audit experience preferred (Marriott brand experience is a plus!)
- Enjoy working in a guest service-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Experience with similar Property Management Systems (PMS) is a plus.
- Able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written.
- Self-starter, showing initiative and anticipating guest and operational needs.
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
