Part Time News Anchor

About the role

We are seeking a part-time news anchor and reporter at iHeartMedia, the number one audio company in America. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment while continuing to grow your skills.

Responsibilities

• Anchor newscasts
• Cover news events throughout the shift
• BREAKING NEWS coverage
• General newsroom responsibilities
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to work both weekend days and odd shifts
• Flexibility with schedule to help with fill-in needs
• Well-rounded communication skills for conducting interviews
• Excellent writing and editing skills; proficient in grammar
• Proficiency in media production and broadcast systems
• Ability to plan and organize, set priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• 3+ years’ experience in on-air journalism in smaller market or college station
• 4-year college degree, preferably in Broadcast Journalism or Communications

• Ability to work within prescribed guidelines without needing close supervision
